Why We Exist
The Veterans Society was established on 4th November 2025 after being accepted by the Charity Commission. Our inspiration came from both Armed Forces veterans and civilians who wanted to give something back to current members and veterans of the UK Armed Forces.
Our mission is simple: provide much-needed support and relief to veterans experiencing poverty, homelessness, and mental ill-health through grants to registered charities and not-for-profit organisations.
The charity was established by a team of Armed Forces veterans and civilians with extensive experience within the charity fundraising sector. For our first 12 months, we are entirely volunteer-run – no one receives a salary. This means every penny of your donation goes directly to grants that help veterans in need.
The Veterans Society is registered with the Fundraising Regulator and abides by The Code Of Fundraising Practices.
What Makes Us Different
Contactless Giving Only
We focus exclusively on one-off contactless donations, filling a gap in the charity fundraising market. This allows members of the public to give when and how they choose, while avoiding any conflict of interest with larger established charities.
Experience You Can Trust
The Veterans Society may be newly established, but the team behind the charity is highly experienced. Our founder, trustees, and volunteers bring extensive knowledge from both the third sector and Armed Forces, safeguarding the charity integrity through informed, knowledgeable decisions.
